After 13 years of working as a PR / Marketing consultant for some of the leading design firms in the DC Metro area, Priya decided to switch gears and pursue a career in Interior Design. Growing up in India, she was surrounded by art and music as she watched her mother and later her older sister excel in their careers as artists. It was only a matter of time for Priya to finally follow her destiny.
A lot of her inspiration comes from the unique textiles and crafts that are a part of the country’s rich heritage. Having lived and worked in two countries has been an enriching experience that continues to give her an appreciation for different cultures, aesthetic sensibilities and a global perspective that she brings to work.
Priya holds a degree in Psychology from Sophia College followed by Diploma in Advertising & Mktg from St. Xaviers in Mumbai, India. She understands how having a basic knowledge of human behavior can help designers create better spaces and more meaningful interactions. Priya is a certified Interior Designer and lives in Potomac, MD with her husband Abhi, daughter Anika and their beloved addition Luna.
